CNET is reviewing the Sirius Starmate in this post. They gave it a 6.3 out of 10 rating which translates to “Good.”

This is one of the smaller portable Sirius radio satellite receivers, coming in at 2.4″ x 4″ x 1″ (HWD) and weighing only 6 ounces.

Some of the gripes with this unit include: tiny station preset buttons, the display has only three lines and the text is large and cannot be changed, also, the text is red which stands out at night but not so much in daylight.

Another irritation is that none of the cradles house the Starmate’s ports, so you need to unplug your power adapter and antenna each time you move the unit between your car and house.

There are better options available than this model, but at a higher price, of course. You can most likely get the Sirius Starmate for around $50 after rebates if you shop right, so it’s going to be hard to beat the price.
