Sirius S50
CNET comes through with this review of the Sirius S50, one of the latest products out from Sirius radio. The editor only gave it a 6.7 out of 10 rating, which came out to be “Good.” This is a bit suprising due to all the hype that surrounded this new device.

The S50 has to be docked to receive live satellite radio. While it is connected to a docking station you can record the satellite feed - up to 1 GB worth - and listen to it later. The S50 also doubles as an MP3 and WMA file player.

Pros: Can connect to your PC through a USB connection for transfering MP3 and WMA files. Clicking the heart icon when a song is on will store the artist and title info and will also store the track itself.

The editor’s gripes: The S50 comes bundled with a car docking kit, if you want the home docking kit then it’s an additional $100. Neither dock has numbered buttons for manually entering stations, you have to scroll through a list. Battery life is lacking - it claims to get 6 hours of life but the editor only managed 4 hours and 15 minutes of battery life.
